Instructions
Mix quartered strawberries and 1/4 cup sugar together in a bowl, and allow to rest about 30 minutes.
Preheat the over to 425 degrees F
Cover a baking pan with parchment paper
Mix together dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, baking soda, 1/3 cup sugar, and salt) in a mixing bowl.
Cut in refrigerated
butter
until the mixture appears as large crumbs.
Stir in
Kate's Buttermilk
until the flour mixture is moist.
Place small scoops of dough (roughly 1/3 cup each) about 2 inches apart on the parchment paper covered baking pan.
(Optional) Sprinkle sugar over the top of the dough.
Place dough in the oven and bake 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Serve reserved strawberries over the shortcake. Add whipped cream as desired.
